A Day To Remember.
We speak often about how we discovered Prescott. We were enjoying a cross-country motorcycle trip 30 years ago and discovered Prescott by accident. Simply a rest stop on our trip or so we thought. Kyle remarked that, "We stopped for a little lunch and were met with smiling faces and warm handshakes." The rest stop turned into three days. We remember saying to each other, "This would be a wonderful place to raise a family." We were right.
We now have two girls, Chorissa and Caleena. Chorissa is a graduate of the University of Arizona. She is currently working in San Francisco for Teach For America. Caleena is a graduate of Northern Arizona University. She lives in Saint Louis because of her involvement with helping political refugees.
Both have many wonderful memories of their childhood.
The Girls Growing Up.
Before the school years the girls were quite the dancers. Kyle says, "You have never seen a prettier or more talented pair of dancers in your life." It wasn’t long however that the cute dresses and dance slippers were traded in for baseball caps and gloves. Chorissa played first base. Caleena was a catcher. Steve says, "The girls had no problem getting dirty."
The girls blossomed academically and throughout the high school years were active in a variety of extracurricular programs. Chorissa played the flute. Caleena played the drums. Both Chorissa and Caleena were drum majors for the marching band. Caleena enjoyed the stage. Both played basketball. Chorissa was involved in high school government. Caleena became involved in a number of church groups.
Obviously we are the proud parents of two very special girls. We have always found time to be at their activities. We still encourage everyone to meet us at the high school football game on a cool Friday night. Not only will you get in on some outstanding 4A high school football, you will also enjoy the Pride of Prescott Marching Band halftime performance!
A Town Growing Up.
Even with Prescott’s growth, not much has changed; people still smile and catch your eye and arms still reach to shake your hand. You know we are proud of our girls and we feel the same way about our town.
Growing with our family and friends has been, and continues to be, an enjoyable journey. We have found happiness in our profession and in Prescott. We knew that we had come home when we moved here and as your Realtors we are ready to help you find your way home too.
